Free swimming for under16s...

What a con! It sounded like such a fab idea when it was first brought in, unfortunately all that has happened is that all pools have put all their adult prices up to cover the costs. This week we went swimming at our local pool and was asked if we wanted to 'register' for free swimming, which would cost £2?! Very annoying...another government initiative that falls on it face!

    Our local authority isn't even pretending to offer free swimming. Although the kids get it thrown in with the cost of their swimming lessons if you pay by direct debit. Not cheap for me to go with them though.
